The Kite VTOL achieves up to 180 minutes of endurance under standard conditions with a standard payload. This figure may vary depending on the installed payload (up to 8 kg in maximum configuration), weather conditions and mission profile. In observation missions with a standard payload, endurance is maximised; in maximum-payload configurations or high-manoeuvrability profiles, it may be moderately reduced.
The Kite uses 100% electric propulsion with a semi-solid state lithium battery:
  • Reduced operating costs: no fuel, cheaper and faster recharging.
  • Simplified maintenance: fewer mechanical components susceptible to wear.
  • Very low acoustic profile: silent operation, lower detectability in covert missions.
  • Minimal logistical footprint: no fuel management or transportation required.
  • Greater safety: no fuel fire risk in emergency landings.
The Kite's VTOL design combines the best of fixed-wing and multirotor:
  • Vertical takeoff and landing: operates from almost any location, without runway or catapult.
  • Range and cruise efficiency: flies like a fixed-wing aircraft, covering large distances with lower consumption.
  • Tactical versatility: can hover in flight and ascend or descend vertically.
  • Rapid deployment: no prior terrain preparation required.
The Kite supports up to 5 kg standard payload and up to 8 kg in maximum configuration. Certified and tested options include:
  • SIYI MT11 UniPod: multi-sensor EO/IR/LRF system with 48 MP, 11×/165× zoom, 640×512 thermal and 5–1,200 m laser rangefinder.
  • Emergency delivery: water, thermal blankets, first aid kits, medicine and rescue supplies for rapid response missions.
  • Custom integration: LiDAR, hyperspectral, SIGINT, communications repeaters, multispectral modules or customer-specific systems.
The Kite has been designed from the outset to be operated by a single person. Its level of automation — from takeoff to landing — allows one operator to manage both the flight and the mission simultaneously. Its compact transport case and tool-free assembly also make solo deployment fully practical. For missions that require it — complex environments, simultaneous payload management or sustained operations — the system can be adapted to a two-operator configuration (pilot + mission operator), which reduces workload and increases operational capacity without adding logistical complexity.
The Kite is designed for ultra-rapid deployment: from transport to first flight, the estimated time is 10 minutes and it can be assembled by a single person. This includes physical assembly, payload integration, systems check and pre-flight inspection.
Yes. Each unit is delivered with complete technical documentation including the preventive maintenance and monitoring programme. Operations can be logged online in the IMS platform private area. The IMS technical team provides remote and on-site support in the event of an incident.
IMS offers a comprehensive training programme in Spain, structured in three blocks:
  • Standard Scenarios: STS-ES-01 and STS-ES-02 (basic and advanced qualification).
  • Radio Operator Course: aeronautical communications for RPAS operators.
  • BVLOS Specialisation: beyond visual line of sight operations, 4G/5G usage and GNSS-denied navigation.
Demonstrations take place at our facilities in Valencia, Spain (PCUV — Paterna), with prior scheduled appointments. We can also travel to the customer's facilities. Contact us to agree on a date and conditions.
