Get to know the Kite
We answer the most common questions about the Kite VTOL system. If you need additional technical information or want to arrange a demonstration, get in touch.
The Kite VTOL achieves 180 minutes of endurance under standard conditions. This figure may vary depending on the installed payload (5–8 kg), weather conditions and mission profile.
The Kite uses 100% electric propulsion with a semi-solid lithium battery:
Reduced operating costs: no fuel, cheaper and faster recharges.
Simplified maintenance: fewer mechanical components subject to wear.
Very low acoustic profile: silent operation, lower detectability in discreet missions.
Minimal logistical footprint: no fuel management or transport required.
Greater safety: no fire risk from fuel in emergency landings.
The Kite's VTOL design combines the best of fixed-wing and multirotor:
Vertical take-off and landing: operates from almost any location, no runway or catapult required.
Range and cruise efficiency: flies like a fixed-wing aircraft, covering large distances with lower energy consumption.
Tactical versatility: can hover and climb or descend vertically.
Rapid deployment: no prior ground preparation needed.
With between 5 and 8 kg of payload capacity, the Kite goes far beyond conventional ISR. Its payload bay is designed to adapt to completely different missions with a simple module swap:
ISR and surveillance: Reebot MT11 UniPod with multispectral EO/IR/LRF sensor — 48 MP, 11× optical / 165× digital zoom, 640×512 thermal and 5–1,200 m laser rangefinder.
Emergency response: the 5–8 kg capacity allows delivery of water, thermal blankets, first-aid kits, urgent medication or rescue equipment directly to hard-to-reach areas — no ground infrastructure, no delays.
Open integration: LiDAR, hyperspectral sensors, SIGINT, communications repeaters or any client-specific system.
One platform, multiple roles. The Kite reconfigures in minutes to match the operational requirement of each deployment.
The Kite is designed from the outset to be operated by a single person. Its level of automation — from take-off to landing — allows a single operator to manage both the flight and the mission without compromising operational effectiveness. This design philosophy minimises the logistical footprint and maximises responsiveness in the field.
For missions that require it — real-time ISR surveillance with simultaneous analysis, complex search-and-rescue operations or high-demand environments — the system can be adapted to a two-operator configuration: one in command of the flight and another managing the payload and mission data, optimising coverage and reaction time.
The Kite is designed for ultra-rapid deployment: from transport to first flight, the estimated time is 10 minutes, and it can be assembled by a single person. This includes physical assembly, payload integration, systems check and pre-flight inspection.
